Dear Joshua

*sigh* It’s been a while I’ve done a ‘Dear Character’ but I couldn’t help but do this one. There’s no question, just an answer.

Dear Joshua,

Always remember, you are not an invader but an heir. Start operating as an heir!
The ‘I am’ is in your past, present and future.  That’s why He is The Way, The Truth(He is absolute), The Life , The Vine, and The Resurrection. ‘I AM is always present and that’s why you are sure of His ‘I Will’. Example: ‘I will’ never leave you nor forsake you.
I am because You Are.
You have been unstoppable but never realized it up until now. (P.S: You are Unstoppable)
Everything you need is inside of you. You can’t be asked to do something if you haven’t been giving the capacity to do so.

There is a commandment to be fruitful and multiply, and everything you need to do this is on the inside of you.
Joshua, stop talking so much about what God has done that you forget what He is doing and about to do.
Stop looking at the monuments of the pasts and see the wonders of the future.
Obedience will always precede revelation.
Stop relying on the parting of the Red Sea. You are to step into the Jordan. Step out in faith.
God is not a man that He should lie. If He has said it, He will do it.
God is looking for those who will radically trust Him. Joshua, step into the Jordan.
You are an heir not an invader.
You’ve stepped out and there’s a shut door(Jericho was securely shut). The shut door is because they were retreating in fear.
Joshua, if you can only see that a shut door sometimes is a sign of victory.
Joshua, God is looking for people who will take Him at His word. It is not your responsibility to bring it to pass. Do not wait for the manifestation. Move on. If He said it, it is done!
Joshua, what are you releasing into the atmosphere?
Joshua, the devil is attacking your mind. You are fighting a different kind of enemy. You question your identity, your sexuality. It is important that this Book of the law does not depart from your mouth. You must meditate on it day and night. You have to keep the word on your mouth, casting down every stronghold and bringing every thought into the obedience of Christ.
Joshua, there is a place for impartation and submission. Be careful who you submit to, who you allow impart your life.
If you believe there’s no one you can submit to you are in error.
Joshua, The ‘I am’ is with you. Where others fail is where you succeed. Be strong and be of good courage. You must first step out in faith. Your miracle is in your speaking. If God has said it, take it to the bank. It is done. You are unstoppable! You are born of the spirit. The wind blows to and fro. You can’t stop what you can’t see. You are an enigma. Be strong and courageous.

You are U N S T O P P A B L E!!!

Hi, This is an excerpt from a preaching by Pastor Jimmy Odukoya –PastorJ. Emerge Conference is happening! Join us tomorrow or on Sunday for the concert! Read flier for more information.

I have been thinking on what to write for a while! And then I thought back to my life this time last year. Mehn oh mehn, God has been faithful. Really faithful.  I put up this picture on my status. A year does change you a lot. Have you changed? Have there been changes made?

I love you! (Don’t be surprised). Enjoy your life.

#Transformation Thursday

#LongPostAlert or not so long…

We are still in January so it’s not late to still say it. So once again, Happy New Year! Hope the year is going fine.

Instead of a Throwback Thursday today, welcome to a Transformation Thursday. I’ll be featuring someone very close to my heart, an extremely good and close friend with a wonderful heart. The words in italics are mine. Meet Taiwo O. Enjoy her story in her own words.

My Makeover related Testimony

“I had an encounter with God (which started in makeover 2014)*that’s around the same time we met too* and got born again about 30 months ago. When I made the decision, I totally forgot about my folks who are kinda devout Muslims. I told them about my new lifestyle (Christianity)… My mum said it was impossible to practice such while I’m at home. My dad on the other hand threatened to disown me and he gave me 3 months to think about the whole thing as he believed I was still in the confusion stage and could still change my mind.

Through these months, I only went to church while school was in session. During the holidays, I went nowhere.

I finished from school last year October and then I began to ask God if that was going to be the end of my church going/gathering with the brethren, because it definitely couldn’t be the end of my Christian life.

I trusted that God who called me out of darkness and started a good work in me was faithful! I prayed that God would turn the heart of my father to please me.

First Sunday in November, I summoned the courage to ask my dad if I could go to church, he shunned me and literally sent me away.

The next Sunday, I went to ask again and he said “ok bye bye” (I didn’t even think it was going to be that easy).

He allowed me go to church subsequent Sundays. This Sunday, he said we needed to discuss this church going thingy… scared as I was, I met him yesterday, he asked a few questions and in the end he gave me his blessings… He said “whatever religion you’ve chosen… God guide you, bless you and strengthen you!” *Halleluyah!*

The same person who threatened to disown me a few months ago.

This can only be God!

He is indeed a good God!

P.S: I trust God for the salvation of my folks… My mum and dad who pray five times daily also read the bible EVERY morning!

Yesterday, my dad even said “if you invite me to your church I’ll come but that doesn’t stop me from being a Muslim”

I smell salvation.

I smell it too, my darling. Having a relationship with Jesus Christ is just the bestest! Think about it if you are not already in one. #JesusTransforms

Only One Thing is Necessary!

And on the tour, he remembered he had some friends in the next city nd he decided to visit them – the two sisters, Miss Artha and Miss Ary.

Miss Artha was overjoyed to see him. Once she had spotted him a distance off,  she had ran out of the house to greet him. Her sister was not too far behind.

They both sat with him and listened to his many stories of wonders, people and all the experiences on the tour.

The phone rang.

The contents of the pot was boiling and spilling over.

The vegetables needed to be added to the steaming pot.

Network just happened to be extra good at that moment and all pending messages came rolling in.

The contractor for the new project just called.

Miss Artha was distracted.

“But, see Miss Ary has left me to do all these things. Tell her to give me a hand”

“Artha, Artha you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is necessary…”
Only one thing is necessary! To sit at His feet and drink in. To pour our oil at His feet(story for another day). To learn at His feet. To enjoy the moment we find ourselves.

‘Mary (Miss Ary) made the right choice and it will not be taken away from her’.

It is easy to get distracted in this fast paced world. Even when it’s for a good cause.

Okay! Putting this in a practical sense, for instance, being a volunteer for a program doesn’t mean you are not to gain anything from the program. It doesn’t also mean that you don’t perform the tasks for which you volunteered for. Do not be so carried away with the activities all around you that you forget to enjoy the program or pick something from the program.

Learn to ‘sit at His feet and enjoy the moment.’

Remember only one thing is necessary!  🙂
Well, well it’s been a while I’ve been here…

Lol. I can’t believe how much has happened within this period. All I can say is I’m growing. Not easy but totally worth it.

No more foolishness. So help me God.

Anticipate #21Verses coming soon. 😉

Can I start the countdown to my birthday already? 4 months to go. 🙌🙌🙈

Shugarythots is 2 years old today! 🙌🙈💙🍷🍷

Cheers to us 🍷🍷

The Victory

Only thing that comes to my mind now is thank You Jesus. He has won the victory.
Enjoy Newbirth – Hallelujah! You Have Won The Victory!

Hallelujah, you have won the victory
Hallelujah, you have won it all for me
Death could not hold you down
You are the risen King, yeah
You’re seated in majesty,
And you are the risen King
(sing together)

Hallelujah,You have won the victory
Hallelujah, You have won it all for me
Death could not hold you down,
You are the risen King,
You’re seated in majesty
You are the risen King

Death could not hold you down,
You are the risen King
You’re seated in majesty
You are the risen King

Death could not hold you down
You are the risen King
Seated in majesty
Your are the risen King

Death could not hold you down (x3)
You are the risen King
Seated in majesty,
You are the risen King

He’s the Risen King. Boast in the finished work of Christ! Boast of His love for you, not how much you love Him.
