*Hides Face*

Honestly I’m embarrassed to come back here. I’m really sorry for not posting anything. Don’t even know where to start. I’ll just tell you snippets of what I’ve learnt.
These few days I’ve learnt a lot about worship. Worship is not just singing slow songs. The way most of us know it. Like ‘let’s sing praise and worship’, praise is danceable song worship is slow. No! Worship is everything you do. Worship is giving God glory.
Another thing I’ve learnt, I was created to worship God. Sometimes you’ll be singing a song and it will take you to the spirit, other times you might not feel the ‘feeling’  but that doesn’t mean that God isn’t there.
God wants you to continually trust Him.
Love God, love others. That’s what you are to do. Learnt to love others
I hope you’re able to pick something form my ramblings.
There’s a movie I can’t wait to see. Read some sort of review on Eziaha’s blog and it only whet my appetite to see it – War room. From the stables of the Kendrick brothers, makers of Courageous, Fireproof etc.  Cant wait to watch it.
Have you heard of the Merchant of Romance? She deals in giving/surprising gifts for partners in marriage. Check her out on instagram.
I want to work with her. I’m interested in her line of business.
Well I think I’m done here for now
See ya lerra

#E’sWeekendBants…The VOICE, Whitney Houston

The F.A.B. Sister's Blog

6a010536846743970c01676350f1d5970b-piOprah: There’s a wonderful quote by the L.A. Times.

‘…treatment of the national treasure that happened to reside within her.” … You were not like any of the others. You really were given the voice. You were given that treasure…’

Sometime late last year, the song ‘I look to you’ entered my phone playlist. I don’t quite recall how I got it but it read R Kelly as the author and it ended with

‘We love you Whitney, Rest in Peace’Whitney_Houston_-_I_Look_to_You_(Duet_version_with_R._Kelly)Miracle’ has always been a favourite song of mine and even though I knew it was a Whitney song, I never paid much mind to the ‘owner’.miracleBoth songs I would remember once in a while and play them on repeat, again not thinking of Whitney. The only thing I knew of Whitney was that she passed from drug overdose.whitney_enquirerThen early this week, as I sang…

Day 6 & 7

Runs away
Yeah I did it. Lazy/busy/tired like that.
Comes back
Thanks for forgiving me dearies.
Day 6 is about seeing life as a temporary assignment. Life is extremely brief and earth is only a temporary residence. That’s what most of us are yet to understand. You were made for Eternity, that’s your homeland. Earth is just like visiting a country overseas, you’re here with your green card, workers permit and visa(still learning the docs involved in travelling, side eye but I have passport tho a trip can be sponsored so I learn properly). #backtothematter
Once your visa expires, you’ve gast to leave the country and go home.
Point to Ponder:This world is not my home.(exactly all I’ve been saying)
Verse to Remember:“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”2Corinthians 4:18 (NIV) Question to Consider:How should the fact that life on earth is just a temporary assignment change the way I am living right now?
Since I know that life is a temporary assignment, I’ll want to achieve more and get more done for God.
Day 7 is simply telling us the reason for everything,i.e to bring glory to God. C’est simple.
Living a life bringing glory to God will sometimes mean choosing a difficult path instead of an easy one. Even Jesus struggled with this. Knowing he was about to be crucified, he cried out: “My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Thy name.”20 Jesus stood at a fork in the road. Would he fulfill his purpose and bring glory to God, or would he shrink back and live a comfortable, self-centered life? You face the same choice. Will you live for your own goals, comfort, and pleasure, or will you live the rest of your life for God’s glory, knowing that he has promised eternal rewards?
Point to Ponder:It’s all for him.
Verse to Remember:“For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory.”  Romans 11:36 (LB) Question to Consider:Where in my daily routine can I become more aware of God’s glory?
When I pray… Everytime through out my day. All my activities are meant to give Him glory,so I’m going to be aware every single time.

Sorry this is a longgggg post.

Day 5: Seeing life from God’s view

See life the way God sees it.
Okay errrr posting everyday is a struggle, don’t know if I should make it every 3 days or still try to make it everyday. God help me sha.
Back to what I was saying, how do you see life?
The way we are meant to see life is the way God sees it. First of, life is a test.
The way God has positioned things, everything we do is a test, with plans on reward in Eternity. When you understand that life is a test, you realize that nothing is insignificant in your life.
Secondly, life is a trust. We never really get to own anything here on earth. Everything we have is a loan from God for our brief stay here. He has entrusted all these good sturvvs into our hands and we can’t afford to let them waste or misused.
Because God owns it, you must take the best care of it as you can.
Point to Ponder: Life is a test and a trust.
Verse to Remember:“Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won’t be faithful in large ones.” Luke 16:10a (NLT)
Question to Consider:What has happened to me recently that I now realize was a test from God? What are the greatest matters God has entrusted to me?
What has happened to me recently? I think getting a below average score in my last semester result was a test from God. At first, when I saw the grade, I was really angry and pissed. Why should it happen to me? But I’ve come to realize that no matter the situation, give thanks, praise Him for what’s happening at that moment even if you don’t like it.

Unto the next one
I don’t know if I’m doing any explanation at all. Please get the book and read up… It will help.
Smile, you’re beautiful!

Day 4 : Made to last forever

Do you know that you were created to last forever? There’s something I saw today as I was reading that burst my head.
“One day your heart will stop beating. That will be the end of your body and your time on earth, but it will not be the end of you. Your earthly body is just a temporary residence for your spirit. The Bible calls your earthly body a “tent,” but refers to your future body as a “house.” The Bible says, “When this tent we live in—our body here on earth—is torn down, God will have a house in heaven for us to live in, a home he himself has made, which will last forever.”
If you don’t think that you have somewhere to go after death, then is when you don’t understand the true meaning of your life. The thing is everything purpose can only be found in God.
Remember you were made to last forever.
Point to Ponder: There is more to life than just here and now.
Verse to Remember:“This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever.”  1John 2:17 (NLT) Question to Consider: Since I was made to last forever, what is the one thing I should stop doing and the one thing I should start doing today?
One thing I should stop doing is belittling myself.
One thing I should do is start adding value to myself. Making sure that my spiritman is well-fed.

P. S this hasn’t been proofread. Any mistakes? I’m sorry. 😘😘

Day 3: What drives your life?

What drives your life? Question of the day. The thing is before I came to Christ, or before I knew and accepted who I was in Christ, what was driving me was anger, resentment. To show people that I made or can do it without them. Their help wasn’t needed for me to succeed.
But today I had a rethink on what/who drives my life?
Now what drives my life should be my purpose which can only be found in God. Therefore my driving force should be my relationship with God.
Point to Ponder: Living on purpose is the path to peace.
Verse to Remember:“You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you.”Isaiah 26:3 (TEV)
Question to Consider: What would my family and friends say is the driving force of my life? What do I want it to be?
Lol. When I saw this question I literally laughed. I don’t know what my family will think is my driving force. Is that a good or bad thing that I don’t know what my family thinks of me?
Oh well!

This book is making me think deeply.
I wantu put a picture of something…

Dunno how this correlates. I’m just putting it out there.

Day 2: You’re not an accident

God’s love is just awesome! The Bible says, “Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love.” Just think about that! He had you in mind and had made you the focus of His love. His love, His love, His love. Everything revolves around His love. He created you to love you. Wawuu! Just thinking about that is a reminder that I’m not and can never be an accident.
God said even while you were in your mother’s womb, He knew you. He knew you would have some good, bad or bittersweet experiences. And the best part is that He will and has always been with us through it all.

There is a God who made you for a reason, and your life has profound meaning!
Point to Ponder: I am not an accident. Verse to Remember: “I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born.”  Isaiah 44:2 (CEV)
Question to Consider: Knowing that God uniquely created me, what areas of my personality, background, and physical appearance am I struggling to accept?
I’m not struggling anymore. Was ashamed maybe. I’m unashamed now. There’s a reason why all these have happened so that I can come out stronger and be able to share my experience with someone going through the same thing or something similar.
Today’s is Friday! And  Rccg’s convention has been going on since the beginning of this week. Cant wait to go for today’s own. ‘The All-Sufficient God’.
The weekend starting.
Have a nice one.
